The turn changed nothing and the river further improved the small blind to top set, so he took the pot to double through Marquine.

Both players check again on the river and Marcelo shows for two pair with a king kicker. That's good for him to take down the pot and he is able to bolster his already large stack.

In 2015 he took down a SCOOP title and more recently he earned Player of the Series accolades for the Brazilian Series of Poker, earning him a package for this event here in Uruguay. Today on Day 1a he's making his presence known early and has already amassed right around three times the starting stack.
