Action folded around to Sunraj Digwa, who moved all in from the small blind with a short stack. Ravi Sheth made the call in the big blind to put his opponent at risk as the cards were turned.
Sunraj Digwa: A♣8♦
Ravi Sheth: 8♣8♠
The board ran out 3♦Q♠J♥10♣3♣ and Sheth held with his pocket eights. Digwa was eliminated and Sheth chipped up to around 2,400,000.
Paul Trotter shoved from early position with a short stack of around 100,000 and Lawrence Penfold called in the big blind. Players revealed their hands.
Paul Trotter: A♦4♥
Lawrence Penfold: Q♥Q♣
Penfold was well ahead and improved to a set of queens on the 4♠9♠Q♠5♣8♠ board. Trotter tapped the table and took his leave.
Thomas Cazaletz and Andrew Hulme were also sent to the exit during the first moments of play.
Christopher Yong open-shoved from the hijack for 125,000 and Fraser Bellamy called in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and players flipped their cards.
Christopher Yong: A♦J♦
Fraser Bellamy: 7♠7♣
The board ran out 3♥9♣Q♥10♠2♠ and Bellamy held with his pocket sevens to send Yong to the exit early on Day 3.
