Day 1b of PokerStars Open $1,100 Main Event Kicks Off at 11:15 a.m.

Day 1b of the PokerStars Open $1,100 Main Event gets underway at 11:15 a.m. local time here at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland just outside of Baltimore. This is the second stop on the North American schedule for the PokerStars Open this year, with the Philadelphia edition having taken place back in April.

The tournament features a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, with the first of five starting flights having been completed yesterday. Players who advance from each flight will combine and return for Day 2 on Sunday, October 26, where a winner will be crowned.

The opening flight proved to be fruitful for a Wednesday afternoon, attracting 60 entries, nine of which will be returning for Day 2. Paul Hunter bagged a commanding chip lead on Day 1a with 568,500 and was the only player to surpass the half-million chip mark.

Players will begin each starting flight with 30,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Blinds will increase every 40 minutes, with late registration and re-entries permitted through Level 9. A 60-minute dinner break will take place at the conclusion of Level 10 at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 15% of the field remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the five flights on Sunday, October 26, where the event will play down to a winner.
