Day 1b Completed
Action has wrapped up in Day 1b of the PokerStars Open $1,100 Main Event here at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland. Of the 105 runners who started the day, only 16 players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom are already in the money.
Maclaren Chatham ascended to the top of the counts, bagging a whopping 621,000 - good for first in the overall standings through the first two starting flights. The Virginia native is no stranger to the local tournament scene and flew under the radar for most of the day, quietly chipping up during the last few levels of play.
His next closest competitors are Sungwoon Yoo (357,000) and Adam Glasgow (347,500) who finished the day in second and third, respectively. They are the only other players to eclipse the quarter-million chip mark here on Day 1b.
WSOP bracelet winner Michael Bohmerwald (230,000) and local tournament pro Nicholas Verderamo (229,000) round out the top five. Yaser Al-Keliddar (204,000), who also owns a piece of WSOP hardware, found a bag for Day 2 after falling short yesterday on Day 1a.

Caitlin Comeskey fired another bullet on Day 1b after exiting early on Day 1a but couldn't find any momentum. Joe Stapleton was in the mix throughout the day but was eliminated just before the dinner break.
Andrew Kershaw couldn't find a bag for Day 2 as his pocket aces were cracked by Glasgow during the last few levels of the night.
Day 1c will begin Friday, October 24 at 11:15 a.m. local time, with blinds starting at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 15% of the field remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the five flights on Sunday, October 26, where the event will play down to a winner.
