Day 1d and 1e Flights are Last Chance to Bag for Sunday

PokerStars Open Maryland
PokerStars Open Maryland

The final two starting flights of the $1,100 Main Event are on the agenda today as the PokerStars Open continues at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland. Day 1d kicks off at 11:15 a.m. local time and Day 1e, which is a turbo flight with 20-minute levels, gets underway at 6:15 p.m.

The tournament features a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, with the guarantee nearly being met in the first three starting flights alone. Players who advance from each flight will combine and return for Day 2 on Sunday, October 26, where a winner will be crowned.

Through Day 1c, a whopping 300 entries have been tallied, and with two flights left to be had, that number is anticipated to climb substantially. As of now, only 45 of those competitors will be advancing to Day 2, all of whom are already in the money.

Day 1b chip leader Maclaren Chatham (621,000) currently leads the way in the overall counts. Not far behind him in second is Day 1a chip leader Paul Hunter with 568,500. Shuyang Han (494,500), who rose to the top on Day 1c, rounds out the podium.
