Maclaren Chatham Leads the Way as Day 2 Kicks Off at 11:15 a.m.
Day 2 of the $1,100 Main Event at the PokerStars Open is set to resume at 11:15 a.m. local time here at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland. The five Day 1 starting flights saw a total of 599 entries, 91 of which will be returning for the final day of action. The remaining players will be battling it out for a piece of the $581,030 prize pool with the first-place prize of $111,976 going to the winner, along with the coveted PokerStars trophy.
Day 1a attracted 60 runners, with 9 advancing to Day 2. Paul Hunter emerged as the runaway chip leader with 568,500 and will head into Day 2 with a top-three stack.
Day 1b saw even more action, with 105 challengers showing up, but only 16 making it through. Maclaren Chatham bagged the overwhelming chip lead with 621,000 and will enter the final day as the overall chip leader.
Day 1c had a solid turnout, with a total of 135 entries tallied. Of the 20 who survived, it was Shuyang Han who finished the flight as the player on top with 494,500.
Day 1d was the biggest flight of them all, with a whopping 238 entries recorded. Of the 36 who bagged, it was Gregory Bowling who ended the flight as the chip leader with 575,500 - good for second in the overall counts.
Day 1e was a last-chance turbo flight, which drew 61 players, 10 of which found a bag for Sunday. Chunyu Yang ascended atop the leaderboard with 380,000.

Action will resume in Level 14 with blinds at 1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 big blind ante and the tournament will play down to a winner. Levels will be 40-minutes in length and a 15-minute break will occur at the end of every three levels.
