Hill and Raju checked to Sharpe, who continued for 3,400. That was enough to claim the pot, as both blinds slid their cards into the muck.

Tabasco tabled the best hand, but stood up as he saw the 6♦7♣8♠ flop give Carey a straight draw. The 5♠ turn and 3♥ river changed nothing, and Tabasco sat back down with a double.

"Nice hand," said Carey as he smiled. "That's not supposed to hold up."

"That's why I packed up," replied Tabasco. "I was ready to go."

Carey was left with just 3,000 chips, but doubled up by cracking kings on the next hand.

With the pot already growing on table 26, Paul Lilly shoved from the small blind for 35,900. Vincent Pistorino had a bet of 6,000 already in the pot, and considered his options in middle position.

"Do you have ace-king?" Pistorino asked Lilly as the two exchanged some table talk.

"I know you like to gamble," said Lilly. Pistorino stuck in the call, and the cards were turned up.

Both players turned over pocket pairs, with Lilly improving to a full house on the 9♣8♦6♠K♦K♠ runout. Lilly doubled up, while Pistorino was left with a single black 100 chip.

Pistorino won his next hand before losing the last of his stack, but was seen heading to a new table after another reentry.

Ives checked again on the 6♦ turn, and Castro fired a bet of 1,600. Kilcoyne folded, while Ives stuck in a call.

Another check from Ives on the A♦ river was met with a bet of 4,000 from Castro. Ives let his hand go, and Castro collected the pot.
