Eliminated 18th - 26th Place ($312.86)

"dkline1984" Falls in 19th Place

In Level 24 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, "MonkeyingAround" raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and "dkilne1984" defended their big blind to see a {3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop appear.

"dkline1984" check-called "MonkeyingAround's" 72,500 continuation bet to the {4-Clubs} turn. "dkline1984" led out for 80,000 and then called off their 160,312 stack after "MonkeyingAround" jammed for 377,424.

"dkline1984": {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
"MonkeyingAround": {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

"dkline1984" was hoping for a third snowman to drop on the river but it came the {10-Diamonds} ending their tournament in 19th place for $312.86.

Last Month's Second Pennsyl-MANIA Event Brought $376K Prize Pool to PokerStars PA

Pennsyl-MANIA
Pennsyl-MANIA

Following the massive success of the first running of Pennsyl-MANIA in May, PokerStars PA opted to fire up another one last month, this time with an increased guarantee. They bumped the number from an already-record $250,000 to $350,000, and the guarantee was surpassed once more, though it wasn't without a mild sweat.

This time, 2,026 entries — 1,274 of them being unique players — created a prize pool of $376,836, enough to nudge past the number by just about 8%.

Just like last time, the big prize money incentivized a deal between the final few players. This time, it was four players who split up the big dough at the close of the final day on Monday:

7"johnnyboat46"$7,386
8"Shovel344"$5,265
9"anteater9999"$3,753

"Slotwinna777" took the biggest chunk but it was a fairly even split all around as everyone got at least $31K from the chop. It took three shells for "Slotwinna777," but they still wound up with a handsome profit.

Latest Big Prize Pool on PokerStars PA

Pennsyl-MANIA II followed up Pennsyl-MANIA, which established a slew of state records, and PASCOOP Main Event as the three biggest prize pools created in the fledgling market.

It remains to be seen whether Pennsyl-MANIA will continue as a regularly reoccurring tournament, but there's likely to be more big tournaments ahead either way. The advent of the upcoming World Championship of Online Poker means a mirror tournament should be announced soon for PokerStars PA. Keep an eye out, and PokerNews will monitor for any updates on the blockbuster series.

"Homie Sr" Bubbles PACOOP 36

In Level 20 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, "Homie Sr" raised to 10,000 from early position and then called off their 92,798 stack after "cabby1234" three-bet jammed for 117,271 from the button.

"Homie Sr": {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
"cabby1234": {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

"Homie Sr" held two overs but fell way behind after the {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop gave "cabby1234" a set of nines.

The {7-Clubs} turn was no help to "Homie Sr" as it left them drawing dead and the {5-Spades} river eliminated them on the money bubble.

Failed to Make the Money

"bdlybldngpkrplr" Falls as Play Inches Closer to the Money Bubble

In Level 20 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, action folded to "bdlybldngpkrplr" who raised all-in for 56,727 from the cutoff and "MrMonkeyJones" isolated from the button.

"bdlybldngpkrplr": {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}
"MrMonkeyJones": {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

"MrMonkeyJones" was ahead with their pocket queens and nothing changed after the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} runout.

No Longer in the Tournament...

Players continue to fall at a rapid pace as only 46 players remain in Level 19 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500.
