McGinnis Withstands the Aggression

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was opened in early position to 700. It folded all the way to Daniel McGinnis on the button who called and the blinds folded.

The K86 flop was checked over to McGinnis who put out a bet of 800. The original raiser called.

The 7 landed on the turn and the early position player checked again. McGinnis put out another bet of 1,500. The player in early position sat in the tank for about a minute before putting in a turn check-raise to 3,500. McGinnis took his time but eventually called.

The 10 river landed and the player in early position led out for another 3,500 bet. McGinnis sat in the tank for about a minute but eventually stuck in the chips and got the good news.

The original raiser rolled over QQ for just second pair and McGinnis tabled 67 for a turned two pair. He would scoop after making a couple smart calls in position.

Milby Snap Calls

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was folded to a player in late position who opened to 1,500. The button called and action was on Ron Milby in the small blind. He only took a moment before putting out a three-bet to 6,500. The player in late position called and the button folded.

The 283 flop hit the felt and Milby continued for 5,000. His opponent sat in the tank for about a minute before announcing "all in". Milby's chips seemed to have already moved in before the words were even out of his opponents mouth.

The cards hit their backs.

Digiovanna Shows the Goods

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was opened by Larry Digiovanna in early position who bet 1,100. He only got a call from the big blind and they were off to a flop heads up.

The 223 flop landed and the big blind opted to lead for 2,500. Digiovanna called.

The turn brought a 8 and action slowed down and checked through to an A river.

The big blind opted to check again and Digiovanna took his time before putting out a bet of 3,500. Unfortunately he couldn't get any more action as the big blind folded.

Digiovanna flashed the 33 for a flopped full house and smiled as he dragged the pot.

Lost and Found: Poker Player Tries for 43 Days to Locate Missing Cat - What Happened?

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Zach Gruneberg, a poker player from Pennsylvania with more than $2.2 million in lifetime tournament earnings, recently lost one of his cats, who escaped from his home while he was out in Las Vegas. What ensued was a frantic search-and-rescue effort that spanned a month and a half.

More specifically, it was a 43-day affair “through hell and back” according to Gruneberg, a five-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit ring winner, including back-to-back wins in the WSOP PA Online Series at the end of July.

Gruneberg, who is nine years clean and sober, is on Twitter as @HustlerGrune where it states he is both an anime addict and cat dad. One of those cats is a sleek gray feline named “Nook.”

“Nook is the only cat I've had since he was a kitten,” Gruneberg told PokerNews. “He is a super friendly high energy guy that loves to jump up into high places and play more so than any of my other cats.”

So, what’s the story behind Nook’s disappearance?

Won for the Win

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to George Won in middle position who opened to 1,500. The cutoff called and the big blind also came along.

The AA5 flop landed and action surprisingly checked through to a 9 turn.

The big blind checked and Won put out a bet of 1,000. The cutoff then raised to 2,700. The big blind got out of the way and Won put in the rest of the chips for a call.

The river landed a 7 and action checked to the cutoff who continued for 3,200. Won went into the tank for about a minute and then flicked in a chip for the call.

The cutoff immediately mucked and Won scooped the pot without even going to showdown.
