As expected, 9 players found a bag to end Day 2 of WCOOP-34-M: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max], and Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski ended up on top of the pile. The Brazilian finished the day with 14,401,864, more than 3 million ahead of "3DTemujiN" in second. The game started with 614 entries, but the are now down to the business end of the $1,228,000 prize pool, with the whole final table guaranteed at least $19,000.
Team PokerStars pro Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis found a bag for the final table as well, surviving on fumes late in Day 2 until he could catch a double to find some breathing room. He got a couple small button shoves through to stay even before he hit a set of fives against top pair for "iamivar" to double into a safer position.
From there, Veldhuis comfortably bagged a middle stack in 5th place and just under 5 million. Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro and Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen are among the other notables to make the final nine on Day 3.

"Aalexxs" raised the button to 352,000 and Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski called from the big blind. Kovalski check-shoved the flop, making the 291,720 bet from "Aalexxs" a call for their life, which they made.

"Aalexxs" had the best of it before the flop, but on the board pushed the chips to Kovalski with the flush.

Maslak needed help, but found it on for the double.
"iamivar" raised to 240,000 from the cutoff before Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis shoved the small blind for 1,372,232. Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski called from the big blind, but then folded to a re-shove from "iamivar" for 5,805,525.

The both hit the flop, but Veldhuis was best and held with the set of fives to get out of the danger zone. He is now in 6th place overall.
Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis is still hanging out at the tables, but he's one of the short stacks. He just picked up blinds and antes however by shoving the button for a bit less than 10 big blinds and getting it through.
They are on the final table bubble going to the break with 10 left. Start-of-day leader Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic lost his stack in a horrible cooler kings into aces to "iamivar", while Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii went out in the final hand before the break when bricked in a race against the of Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski.
Patrick "pads1161" Leonard is out in 13th place after getting his suited ace in against eights for "zyxel888" before the flop. Leonard turned an ace on but "zyxel888" hit the set on the river to take it and send the English grinder to the rail with $12,627.
