Harrington took the lead on the flop with two pair, and he stayed there after the and hit the turn and river.
On the button, Jason Kim raised to 1,250. The player in the big blind made the call, and the flop came down . After the player in the big blind checked, Kim bet 1,500. His opponent called.
The turn was the , and the first player led with a bet of 3,500. Kim checked back at his hand, then folded, and slipped back under 90,000 in chips.
Danielle 'dmoongirl' Andersen entered Day 1a a bit late, but she busted a bit early by just getting knocked out. Andersen told us how she ran top two pair into a set to lose a huge portion of her stack, before recovering a bit and getting back up to 8,000.
On the last hand a player raised to 1,200 and Andersen moved all in for about 8,000 and her opponent called with . Andersen was in good shape with but she couldn't fade her opponent hitting a pair.
Matt Kurtin raised in early position to 850 and Valerie Hanley three-bet quickly to 2,000. The action folded around to Kurtin and he called, creating heads-up action.
The flop brought out and Kurtin quickly check-folded to a bet of 4,000.
Hanley turned over , and Kurtin smiled, as he just avoided losing a huge pot to the strong hand of his opponent.
John Boriolo raised before the flop to 725 and Michael Trivett called from the cutoff after which Ivan Zarate pulled off a three-bet to 2,100. The action folded back to Boriolo who four-bet shoved for 6,125 and Trivett went into the tank.
Trivett needed a lot of time, and apologized to the other players at the table, before eventually folding his hand.
Zarate laughed and admitted to getting caught with a poor holding, but he deemed the price good enough make the call.
