Stout's River Bet Takes it Down

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With what looked to be around 15,000 in the pot, Matt Stout bet 5,500 on the river of a {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board.

Stout's opponent, in the cutoff, thought it over for awhile before folding, pushing the pot Stout's way.

Swift Shuts Down Opponent on the Turn

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A middle position player opened to 2,700, and Deb Swift called from the hijack.

The original raiser checked on the {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, and Swift put out a bet and got the call.

The turn came {9-Spades}, and the middle position player check-folded to a 6,200 bet from Swift.

Apostol Wins Huge Three-Way All In

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Tyson Apostol
Tyson Apostol

Detials leading up to the flop are unknown, but with {7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades} on the board, Tyson Apostol, a player on the cutoff, and a player on the big blind all got their entire stacks in.

The big blind was the biggest of the three stacks, and Apostol's remaining 45,000 chips were on the line. The cutoff was the shortest of the three going to the turn and river.

Cutoff: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Tyson Apostol: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Apostol was behind on the flop, which didn't change on the {7-Diamonds} turn. The river, however, brought in the {k-Diamonds}, giving the Survivor star two pair and sending the pot his way.

The hand eliminated the cutoff, sending all of that player's chips to Apostol. Apostol also doubled up through the big blind, and in the aftermath of the hand is up to 121,000 chips.

Hood Gets the Last of Mastic's Stack

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With {6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} on the board, Alan Mastic got the last of his short stack in from the big blind, and Patrick Hood made the call from middle position.

Alan Mastic: {4-Spades}{2-Spades}
Patrick Hood: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The runout sealed the elimination of Mastic, with the {q-Hearts} coming in on the turn and the {7-Diamonds} falling on the river.

Hood is up over the 100k mark as the dinner break approaches.

Event #10: $120 N.O.R.S.E. was played in a split-partner format and saw 100 entrants compete, which nearly doubled the $5K GTD by creating a $9,700 prize pool.

Coming out on top was the team headed by captain Bjorn Peterson, good for $3,490 in prize money.

Prager Doubles Through Janik

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The fireworks continue at the table where Scott Janik, Chance Gir, Loren Klein, Josh Prager and Kevin Hale all currently reside.

The latest big pot came in a hand that saw Gir raise to 1,800 under the gun, Janik three-bet to 4,300 on Gir's direct left, and Prager four-bet all in for his 15,200 stack. Action folded back around to Gir, who bowed out.

Janik made the call, going to the heads-up showdown with Prager.

Josh Prager: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Scott Janik: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Board: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Prager won the coin flip to double up, and unfortunately the table appears to have just broken up.

Janik's Five-Bet Shove Gets it Done

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Chance Gir open raised from the cutoff, Scott Janik three-bet from the cutoff, and Loren Klein cold called the three-bet from the big blind.

Action came back to Gir, who put in the four bet to 16,000. That prompted Janik to five-bet shove, putting his entire 52,000 stack into the pot.

Klein folded, and Gir went deep into the tank. Clearly exasperated, Gir thought over the decision for several minutes, before finally electing to fold.
