For instance, in Event #6: $235 Short Deck Double Stack, 116 runners surpassed the $15K GTD by creating a $22,504 prize pool that was paid to the top 19 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Jon Turner (11th - $500), Michael Trivett (12th - $500), Sarah Sherman (16th - $400), and Austin Roberts (19th - $400).

In the end, Cory Tardy of Las Vegas, a regular at RIU Reno, finally broke through to win his first RIU trophy, good for $5,690 in prize money.

Joel Danforth

Michael Trivett raised to 1,000 from the hijack, and was called by Joel Danforth on the button and Rian Mullins in the big blind.

All three players checked the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop, and the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Action checked to Danforth, who bet 1,000. Only Trivett called.

Both remaining players checked the {8-Spades} river, and Danforth tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Trivett mucked.
