There was 4,000 already in the pot when Jesse Capps checked a 
flop from the small blind. Shane Oatman bet 2,000 from under the gun, and after Jim Petzing folded on the button, Capps made the call.

$235 Progressive Knockout champ John-Paul Portal raised to 1,200 from the hijack, and was called by the cutoff. The small blind three-bet to 4,500, and $1,100 Thursday Thrilla runner-up Jeremy Pekarek called in the big blind. Portal four-bet shoved for around 35,000, and the cutoff quickly folded, as did the small blind.
"I had a really good start to my day," Pekarek said with a shrug, before calling off his last 25,000.
