Young Busts Out the Boomstick For a "Groovy" Double

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Max Young raised to 33,000 from under the gun, and was called by Jeremy Pekarek in the small blind, and Loren Klein in the big blind.

"Startin' to hit the groove," Pekarek told the table before the {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop hit.

"Groove, gotta test it!" Pekarek said, betting 35,000.

"That's groovy!" Klein said with a smirk before folding. Young raised to 90,000, and Pekarek tanked for a minute before three-betting enough to commit Young's 353,000 stack. Young snap-called.

Max Young: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Jeremy Pekarek: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Pekarek needed to hit an ace or queen to knock out Young, but the {9-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river sent the double to Young.

Ivanovski's Aces Cracked by a Song

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Voislav Ivanovski raised to 35,000 from the cutoff, and Sung Song called on the button.

Ivanovski bet 85,000 on the {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop, and Song raised to 185,000. Ivanovski three-bet jammed, and Song instantly called off his last 536,000.

Sung Song: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Voislav Ivanovski: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Song's two pair needed to avoid an ace, six or eight once the {8-Hearts} fell on the turn, and the {2-Diamonds} was the perfect blank to earn the big double.
