Lennon Bets River, Gets Fold

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Michael Trivett and Beean Lennon went heads up to the river with the board showing {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Trivett checked from the small blind, and Lennon put out a bet for 2,200. Trivett thought it over for a bit before throwing his cards into the muck, and Lennon dragged in an early pot.

Gribben's Grabbin' Chips

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

The hijack raised to 300, and the cutoff called. John Gribben three-bet to 1,100 on the button, and only the hijack called.

The {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop was checked by the hijack, and Preston bet 1,300. The hijack folded, and Gribben said, "I'll show ya one time," then tabled his {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} before raking in the pot.

Rabover Up Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Peter Rabover just took in one of the bigger pots that's developed in the opening minutes of the Mini Main Event, and his opponent on the losing end of the hand went to the rail just a couple of hands later.

A big pot was already brewing with the board reading {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Rabover check-called a 3,000 bet from the cutoff opponent, bringing in the {6-Hearts} on the river.

Rabover checked again, the cutoff bet 4,000, and Rabover immediately raised to 10,000. The cutoff agonized over the decision for a a couple of minutes before finally making a reluctant cal. Rabover turned over {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the set, leaving the opponent with just 1,600 chips.

A look at the table a couple of minutes later showed that the short stacked player was out of the tournament.
