Daoud Majid raised to 5,500 from middle position, and Joe Brandenburg called in the small blind.

Brandenburg check-called a bet of 5,500 from Majid on the flop, and check-called 25,000 on the turn.

The fell on the river, and Brandenburg bet 30,000, leaving himself 50,000 behind. Majid looked over the bet and tanked for a bit, then folded.

Deb Swift, in middle position, and an opponent on the button got all of the chips in preflop, with Swift's tournament life at risk.

"Nice hand; I'm going to hit a queen though," said the player on the button. That didn't happen, as the ace came in for a set for Swift on a runout.

Swift, who's attended every Run It Up Reno festival since the event's inception, has plenty of chips to play with as Level 15 rolls on.

Registration is now closed for the $440 Mini Main Event here at Run It Up Reno IX, and 264 entrants hit the felt, which combined with the 145 entrants from yesterday's Day 1a flight, giving us a total of 409 entrants, easily cruising past the $100,000 Guarantee. The remaining field will play down to 43 players this evening, and hand-for-hand play will commence when will 44 players remain.

With the flop of on the board, a player on the small blind bet 13,000, and Alex Conatser called from middle position.

The small blind checked the turn, and Conatser bet 31,000, which the small blind called.

The small blind then checked the river, and Conatser checked back. The river six was just the card Conatser was looking for, as he tabled and took in one of the bigger pots of Day 1b.
