Conatser Continues His Climb

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Alex Conatser has scored another knockout, and continues to build his stack and stay near the top of the chip leader board.

A player on the small blind ended up all in preflop against Conatser, who was sitting on the hijack.

Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Alex Conatser: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Board: {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The set of sevens coming in on the flop all but sealed the elimination for Conatser, who's now at the 237,000 chip mark.

Daoud Majid raised to 5,500 from middle position, and Joe Brandenburg called in the small blind.

Brandenburg check-called a bet of 5,500 from Majid on the {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop, and check-called 25,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn.

The {7-Diamonds} fell on the river, and Brandenburg bet 30,000, leaving himself 50,000 behind. Majid looked over the bet and tanked for a bit, then folded.

Swift Swiftly Doubles Her Stack

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Deb Swift, in middle position, and an opponent on the button got all of the chips in preflop, with Swift's tournament life at risk.

Deb Swift: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Button: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

"Nice hand; I'm going to hit a queen though," said the player on the button. That didn't happen, as the ace came in for a set for Swift on a {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts} runout.

Swift, who's attended every Run It Up Reno festival since the event's inception, has plenty of chips to play with as Level 15 rolls on.

With the flop of {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} on the board, a player on the small blind bet 13,000, and Alex Conatser called from middle position.

The small blind checked the {q-Clubs} turn, and Conatser bet 31,000, which the small blind called.

The small blind then checked the {6-Diamonds} river, and Conatser checked back. The river six was just the card Conatser was looking for, as he tabled {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and took in one of the bigger pots of Day 1b.
