Heppe's Feelin' Peppy After A Double

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player raised to 1,600 from UTG+1, and was called by a player in the small blind. Chris Heppe three-bet jammed for 8,200 in the big blind, and the UTG+1 player four-bet shoved for 49,100. The small blind went into the tank for about two minutes, before eventually tossing {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} face-up in the muck.

Heppe: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Heppe's kings held on a {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board for the double, while the small blind looked frustrated after seeing that his fives would've held for a big side pot.

Tonight is Last Chance to Qualify for Last Warrior Standing Drawing

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Last Warrior Standing Drawing
Last Warrior Standing Drawing

The RIU Reno VIII is chock full of fun promotions. One of them is the "Last Warrior Standing" Drawing, which has applied to many of the tournaments over this past week. Here's how it works.

To qualify for the Last Warrior Standing drawing, participants must be the last player remaining in any qualifying RIU Reno VIII tournament wearing Run It Up gear, Team RIU member gear, or Andrew Neeme gear. Qualifiers will receive entry into a drawing taking place on April 21st for their chance to win one prize package to attend Run It Up Reno in October 2019.

One (1) Last Warrior Standing Drawing entry will be awarded per specified tournament. If a qualifier achieves the feat in multiple tournaments they will receive one (1) entry per specified tournament.

The drawing will take place at or around 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 during the first break on the Main Event Day 2. Qualifiers need not be present to win.

The prize package includes one (1) entry into the RIU Reno IX Main Event ($600) taking place in October 2019, transportation credit (up to $900), and choice of six (6) complimentary nights hotel accommodations ($1,100 value) at Peppermill Reno.

Just one chance remains for players to qualify, and that's in tonight's $125 buy-in "2, 3, 4, 5 Mix" tournament at 5 p.m.

Sasha Liu raised to 1,600 from the button, and Robert Valdez three-bet to 4,500 in the small blind. Liu called.

Valdez bet 7,000 on the {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, and Liu called.

The {9-Clubs} fell on the turn, and Valdez bet 15,000. Liu thought for a moment before jamming for around 70,000. Valdez went into the tank for a minute, then let his hand go.

O'Donnell Sniffs Out A Bluff

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player raised to 1,600 from UTG, and Arizona pro Kevin O'Donnell made the call on the button.

The UTG player checked a {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop over to O'Donnell, who bet 1,200. His opponent called.

Both players checked the {10-Clubs} turn, and the UTG player bet 1,200 when the {5-Spades} hit the river.

"Four?" O'Donnell asked his opponent. After a few more seconds, he tossed in a call. His opponent rolled over {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for ace-high, but O'Donnell had that beat with his {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Valdez Check Jams Into Two Opponents

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Frank Lagodich raised to 1,300 under the gun and Robert Valdez called from the hijack. The player on the button then three-bet to 3,500, both blinds folded, and Lagodich called.

Valdez put in the additional 2,200 and it was three-way action to the {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Two checks saw the button continue for 5,000 and Lagodich check-raised to 16,500.

Action was back on Valdez and he paused for a few beats before check-raising himself by moving all in for around 90,000. The player on the button released and Lagodich wasted little time in doing the same.

Salem's Set Takes On Capps' Big Draw

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Jesse Capps raised to 1,100 from UTG, and was called by Nayef Salem in the cutoff, as well as both of the blinds.

Action checked to Capps on a {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop, and he bet 2,500. Only Salem called.

The {3-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Capps jammed for 12,000. Salem quickly called.

Capps: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Salem: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Salem's set of sevens had to dodge the Royal Flush draw of Capps, and he did just that when the {j-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, sending Capps to re-enter.
