Sleeth Off to a Good Start

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Ashley Sleeth
Ashley Sleeth

Recent WSOP Circuit ring winner Ashley Sleeth raised to 600 under the gun and Donald McCormick called from the button. Both blinds folded and it was heads-up action to the flop, which came down {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Both players checked and the dealer burned and turned the {q-Diamonds}. Sleeth bet 1,000 and that did the trick as McCormick laid down his hand.

It wasn't too exciting but it gave us a good excuse to update you on Sleeth's count, which is about double the starting stack. She's looking to follow in the footsteps on her fiance, 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up Jesse Sylvia, who bagged on the 1a flight.

Boltryk Takes from Tardif

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Twitch streamer Patrick Tardif got off to a good start here on Day 1b busting Jimmy Cappucci shortly after the latter late registered.

In a recent hand, Tardif raised to 500 from the button and Lech Boltryk called from the big blind. The latter check-called a bet of 400 on the {8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop and then action went check-check on the {7-Hearts} turn.

When the {k-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Boltryk led out for 1,100 and Tardif paused for a few beats before calling.

Boltryk rolled over the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a flopped two pair and Tardif sent his cards to the muck.

Spraggy Lays Down Two Pair

Level 2 : 100/200, 100 ante

With 3,100 in the pot and a board reading {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Jason Daniele checked from the big blind and then called when Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg bet 2,000 from the button.

When the {k-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Daniele led out for 5,000 and Spraggy thought for a bit before folding the {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} face up.

Daniele then flashed what looked like the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered flush.

Martin with the Overbet on the Turn

Level 2 : 100/200, 100 ante

Action folded to Max Brown on the button and he raised to 500, which Kevin Martin called out of the big.

Both players checked the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and then Martin overbet the pot to the tune of 2,000 on the {9-Diamonds} turn. Brown called it and then both players returned to checking on the {k-Clubs} river.

Brown tabled the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for two pair and it was good as Martin sent his hand to the muck unseen.
