Morse Off to a Good Start

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Sandra Morse raised to 600 from middle position only to have Carlos Pal three-bet to 1,800 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Morse and she called to see a {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop.

Morse check-called a bet of 1,200 and then both players checked the {8-Spades} turn.

When the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Morse led out for 2,500 and that did the trick as Pal released his hand.

First Bounty Falls

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Kyle Anderson
Kyle Anderson

We missed the first bounty elimination but did learn some details after the fact.

Over at Table 26, pro bounty Kyle Anderson got his stack in with top set against the flush draw of Steven Nevius. The latter made his flush and collected $300 for the deed.

Anderson has the option to re-enter the tournament, but if he does there will not be another bounty.

Last Warrior Standing Drawing
Last Warrior Standing Drawing

The RIU Reno VIII is chock full of fun promotions. One of them is the "Last Warrior Standing" Drawing, which applies to today's tournament. Here's how it works.

To qualify for the Last Warrior Standing drawing, participants must be the last player remaining in any qualifying RIU Reno VIII tournament wearing Run It Up gear, Team RIU member gear, or Andrew Neeme gear. Qualifiers will receive entry into a drawing taking place on April 21st for their chance to win one prize package to attend Run It Up Reno in October 2019.

One (1) Last Warrior Standing Drawing entry will be awarded per specified tournament. If a qualifier achieves the feat in multiple tournaments they will receive one (1) entry per specified tournament.

The drawing will take place at or around 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 during the first break on the Main Event Day 2. Qualifiers need not be present to win.

The prize package includes one (1) entry into the RIU Reno IX Main Event ($600) taking place in October 2019, transportation credit (up to $900), and choice of six (6) complimentary nights hotel accommodations ($1,100 value) at Peppermill Reno.
