Moneymaker Gets Surpised By A River Move
2003 WSOP Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker raised to 800 from the cutoff, and was called by Andrew Lok, as well as former Survivor champ Tyson Apostol in the big blind.

flop, and he bet 1,100. Only Lok called.
Both players checked the
turn, and Lok checked the
river. Moneymaker announced a bet of 4,000, leaving himself just 3,000 behind, and Lok thought for a moment before jamming all in.
"Ahhhh! What did you do?" Moneymaker said as soon as Lok completed pushing his stack in the middle.
"Googly-mooglies, what?" Moneymaker shook his head, then asked, "Show me if I fold? Ace-nine? I was value betting!"
Moneymaker eventually tossed the
face up before folding, and Lok turned over ![]()
for a bluff.
"I hate you," Moneymaker said with a wry grin as Lok drug in the pot.
