The short-stacked Andrew Lok moved all in for his last 38,000 under the gun and Patrick Truong called from the button. Both blinds folded and it was off to the races.
Lok:
Truong:
Lok was looking to hold and did so on the flop. Unfortunately for him, the dealer burned and turned the to counterfeit him. Lok needed a seven and a seven only on the river, but it wasn't in the cards as the bricked the river.
Truong collected the $500 while Lok left emptyhanded in 19th place. The remaining 18 players are now guaranteed a $1,500 payday from the regular prize pool.
Jeff Newman raised to 10,000 from UTG, and Patrick Truong called in the hijack. Greg Fils three-bet jammed for 31,500 from the button, and Newman called. Truong four-bet jammed to put Newman at risk for his last 200,000, and Newman tanked for a bit before folding.
Truong:
Fils:
Fils' kicker proved vital on a board, and he snagged a triple up.
Joel Danforth raised the button to 15,000 and called when Derek Frye moved all in for a hefty 152,000 from the small blind.
Danforth:
Frye:
It was a huge flip for a lot of chips and the bubble on the line. Frye was looking to hold, and much to his excitement, that's just what he did when the board ran out to keep his ladies out in front.
Adin Cota raised to 17,000 from UTG, then called a three-bet shove for 115,000 from Colton Blomberg in the hijack.
Cota:
Blomberg:
Cota pulled well out in front on the flop, but Blomberg picked up four more outs when the fell on the turn. He bricked off on the river, and Cota picked up a bounty.
With nineteen players remaining, one more has to fall in order for the field to make the money. Stay tuned to see who our unfortunate bubble boy or girl will be.
