Carter found the miracle flop of 7x5xKx to pull ahead in the hand, improving to trip kings. The turn landed the 5x and Mayse was all but out.

That was until an ace rolled off on the river, keeping Mayse's tournament dreams alive.

Hargesheimer Bombs the Turn

Patrick Small raised to 2,500 in early position and Carey Hargesheimer flatted out of the small blind.

The flop came 10JQ and Hargesheimer check-called a bet of 4,000 from small.

The turn landed the K completing both straight and flush draws. Hargesheimer led out with a sizable bet of 16,000 and after some consideration, Small gave up his hand.

Howell Keeps Climbing

Scott Grasse raised to 2,500 in the hijack and Chance Howell three-bet to 6,500 on the button. Tim McFarland cold-called out of the small blind and Grasse continued as well.

The flop came 55A and action checked over to Howell, who fired out a bet of 13,000.

McFarland and Grasse both folded and the pot was pushed Howell's way.

On the 4 turn, Mayse check-called a bet of 6,000, bringing the 3 river.

Mayse led out with a bet of 12,000 and after a moment of thought, Roeder flicked in the call.

Roeder tabled 83 for a pair of treys, besting the busted flush draw of Mayse who held K7.
