Carter found the miracle flop of 7x5xKx to pull ahead in the hand, improving to trip kings. The turn landed the 5x and Mayse was all but out.

That was until an ace rolled off on the river, keeping Mayse's tournament dreams alive.

The flop came 10♣J♠Q♠ and Hargesheimer check-called a bet of 4,000 from small.

The turn landed the K♠ completing both straight and flush draws. Hargesheimer led out with a sizable bet of 16,000 and after some consideration, Small gave up his hand.

The flop came 5♥5♠A♠ and action checked over to Howell, who fired out a bet of 13,000.

McFarland and Grasse both folded and the pot was pushed Howell's way.

On the 4♥ turn, Mayse check-called a bet of 6,000, bringing the 3♣ river.

Mayse led out with a bet of 12,000 and after a moment of thought, Roeder flicked in the call.

Roeder tabled 8♦3♠ for a pair of treys, besting the busted flush draw of Mayse who held K♦7♦.

Howell Wins Monster Pot Before Dinner Break

A short-stacked player moved all in preflop in early position for 16,100 and was called by three other players, including Chance Howell in the small blind.

The flop came 5♣6♣4♠ and Howell checked. The under-the-gun player checked as well and the player on the button bet 6,000.

Howell then made it 16,000 to go, prompting the under-the-gun player to fold. The button then came over the top with an all-in bet of about 68,000 to put himself at risk. Howell thought for a moment and made the call.

Early position: A♠9♠ All in
Button: K♣10♣ All in
Chance Howell: 7♦7♣

The early position player pulled ahead on the A♥ turn, pairing his ace. The river landed the 3♦, giving Howell a straight to scoop both the main pot and the side pot.
