Maras Wins an Unexpected Hand
Level 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jon Maras bet 1,500 from the hijack on a flop of 4♦2♦2♣ and a player in the small blind called before Neil Reavely raised to 5,700 in the big blind. Only Maras called.
Reavely bet another 7,000 on the 3♠ turn, and Maras again called. The river was the K♣ and Reavely bet 15,000. Maras tanked for a few minutes until tossing in the chips.
"Nice hand," Maras said with a sigh, already expecting Reavely to show the winner.
"I missed," Reavely replied, and Maras showed A♠4♠ for two pair to win the pot.
