The flop came 8♦4♠9♦ and the big blind continued for 7,000. Sand called, and the 3♣ fell on the turn.
The big blind then moved all in for 16,200, sending Sand deep into the tank. "Do you want a call?" he asked his opponent.
"I feel it might be a mistake to say that," the big blind replied. Sand eventually called and turned over A♥8♥ for a pair of eights, and his opponent could only show A♠5♦. The river was the 6♥ and Sand took the pot to send his opponent to the rail.
