Hass Can't Punish the Limpers
Level 9
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Four players limped in before Richard Hass raised to 6,000 in the big blind. The under-the-gun player, Shane Broesder in the cutoff, the button, and Tom Estes in the small blind all called.
The flop came K♥8♠9♦ and action checked to Broesder, who bet 10,000. "Are you tilting?" Tom Estes, who had just doubled up off Broesder with a flush on the river the hand before, said as he folded. Hass, though, was the only caller and he and Broesder went heads-up to the 4♥ turn.
Broesder then bet 20,000, Hass moved all in, and Broesder snap-called for 50,200. He showed K♠9♠ for two pair, and Hass had Q♠Q♥. The river was the 3♦ and Broesder doubled up.
"This is so much fun," Estes added after the hand.
