Jon Wurden Elimnated in 14th Place; D'Koda Geer Eliminated in 13th Place ($8,400)
Level 25
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Three players went to the flop on a board of A♣9♦5♣. Jon Wurden then bet 425,000 from the hijack and Heath McAllister folded in the big blind, but Preston Dean then shoved from early position. Wurden called for 700,000.
Jon Wurden: A♠Q♥
Preston Dean: 5♠5♥
Wurden had flopped top pair, but Dean showed down a set for the lead. The Q♣ turn gave Wurden some outs, but he missed the 7♦ river and was eliminated in 14th place.
The rapid pace of eliminations continued on the other table, as D'Koda Geer got in his last 500,000 from the big blind on a flop of K♥5♣5♥. He had king-ten, but Dave Ouellette in early position showed A♥A♦ and held on through the Q♣ turn and 3♥ river to send Geer to the rail.
