Fahmy was ahead with his set, but Savage still had a chance to win the hand with a gutshot straight draw.
The 2♠ turn was not what Savage was looking for, as she was drawing to four outs with the river to come.
Fahmy secured the victory when the 9♠ hit the river to eliminate Savage.
James Thayer limped from the small blind before Noah Curhan made it 20,000 out of the big blind.
Thayer made the call and sent them to a flop of J♥3♥9♣, before he checked. Curhan followed with a check.
The 3♦ turn led to a bet of 22,000 from Thayer, but Curhan was not done with the hand and made the call.
Thayer slowed down with a check on the Q♣ river. Curhan took his time before he put out a large bet of 72,000. Thayer went into the tank as he mulled over his decision. Thayer eventually put out a stack of chips for a call, and they went to a showdown.
