Tuttle Doubles to Leave Hughes on Fumes
Level 19
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Daniel Hughes was all-in from middle position before Ryan Tuttle followed with an all-in of his own for 220,000 from the hijack to be at risk against Hughes.
Ryan Tuttle: 9♣9♥
Daniel Hughes: K♣Q♠
Tuttle held the edge preflop, but the flop was precarious for his pocket nines when it came 5♣J♣4♣, giving Hughes the better flush draw plus his overcards.
The 3♦ turn was safe for Tuttle as he needed to fade one more street to stay alive in the tournament.
Tuttle was awarded the pot when the 8♦ peeled.
Hughes was seen leaving the tournament area shortly after as he busted from the tournament.
