Busken Flops the Joint to Double; Copeland Flips With Hunter Again
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Scott Busken bet 7,000 from the big blind on a flop of 10♣Q♣J♠ and Najibullah Nazari raised to 30,000 in middle position. Busken called for his last 26,200.
Scott Busken: A♥K♣
Najibullah Nazari: K♠Q♠
Busken had flopped the nut straight against Nazari's top pair, and the 4♣ turn and 2♦ river kept him in the lead for the double up.
The next hand, Jeffrey Copeland moved all in for 21,300 from the cutoff after a series of limps in front of him, and Jason Hunter called in middle position.
Jeffrey Copeland: A♠J♦
Jason Hunter: 3♣3♠
Copeland was again racing with Hunter, and the J♣7♣9♦ flop gave him the lead with top pair. The board ran out 9♠8♦, and Copeland doubled up once more.
