$100,000 Guaranteed Main Event
Day 1a Started
After a successful inaugural event in March, the RunGoodGear.com poker series has returned for a second go, this time at Hard Rock Tulsa here in Oklahoma.
The main event is a $675 buy in, and cards are set to fly at noon local time. Players have yet to arrive, but when they do, they'll be seated at some tables featuring a rainbow of different-colored felts. The event allows unlimited reentries until the dinner break, which comes at the end of Level 9. Levels will vary in length, beginning at 30 minutes and progressing to 40 minutes at Level 7 and 50 minutes at Level 13.
Some well-known players will be in attendance, including sponsored tour pros such as Bryan Campanello, Jamie Kerstetter, and AP Phahurat. We'll keep an eye on them and everyone else as we bring you all of the relevant live updates here on PokerNews.

Sponsored pro Bernard Lee took a seat at one of the tables, and he already got involved in an exciting pot with an anticlimactic ending. He bet 375 from the cutoff on a board of , and his opponent on the button made it 1,350. Lee came back with 2,150, and he saw another raise to 4,500 from his foe.
"Alright, I call," Lee said. "You have jack-ten?"
Instead, he was shown for the nuts on the flop. Lee turned over an identical hand.
"Wow," Lee said. "I'm actually more shocked that you have that."

Greg Elliott bet 1,600 from the big blind on a board of , and his opponent in middle position raised to 3,700. Elliott had shoved all in when we arrived to the table, and his opponent was in the tank. After a couple of minutes of thought, he tossed in a few chips.
"Big blind special," Elliott said, turning over for a full house. It beat the held by the middle-position player, good for a straight.
"I knew you had the straight," Elliott said as he raked in the pot.

Multiple players had 600 in front of them before the flop when we arrived at Dan "Wretchy" Martin's table. A player on the button had made it 2,200 to go and been cold-called by the big blind. Martin tossed his last 7,900 in, and the button moved in for 11,225 after everyone else folded. The big blind took a minute or two to think, but he called the shoves.

The flop brought a straight draw for Martin as hit the felt, and an helped nobody on the turn. Martin found a river for a set though, and he tripled up, while the player on the button won a small side pot to survive.

AP Phahurat bet 600 from the big blind on a flop of against a lone opponent in middle position, who raised to 1,600. Phahurat made it 4,000 to go, and his opponent called. On the turn, Phahurat bet 5,000 and was called once more. He fired 8,000 more on the river, and his opponent tanked for a few minutes before tossing in a call.
Phahurat tabled for top set, and he took the hefty pot.
At another table, Jeff Bryan busted his first bullet.
