Day 1a Completed

RunGood Pro Ben Reason Tops Day 1A Leader Board

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ben Reason leads the field as the only player over 200,000.
Ben Reason leads the field as the only player over 200,000.

The first of three Day 1 flights in the RunGood Series Main Event at the Hard Rock Tulsa kicked off Friday at 7 pm and drew 82 entrants. Over the course of 12 levels the field was trimmed to 19 survivors and leading them all is Ben Reason with 228,500.

Cary Marshall, Brady Bullard, Joe Ferguson and Mark Martin are the only other players to bag up six-figure stacks. Michael Klatt, Andrew Dodson, Huy Nguyen and Mina Greco also advanced to Day 2 but start at the bottom of the counts.

Marshall was below the average stack going into the last level of the night but doubled his stack up three times. He doubled against Stephen McKinney and Rees Skruggs with two Broadway cards.

Brady Bullard could have landed in the top spot, but mucked two tens in a spot where McKinney pushed with fives and Bill Cole had {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Bullard's stack was around double the starting stack returning from dinner break and he nearly quadrupled it in four levels.

There was quite a contingent of RunGood pros that took to the felt today but didn't survive the day - Justin Gardenhire, Daniel Lowery, Ray Henson and Papa Karn. A few more are expected to join on Saturday.

Saturday hosts two flights - one at noon and the second at 7 pm. Each flight will also play down to 15% of the field or a full 12 levels, whichever should come first.

Full Day 1A Chip Counts

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Brady Bullard Booming Back to Top of the Counts

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We found a deep-stacked preflop shove where an unknown player shoved into Brady Bullard - and he called.

Bullard: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Player: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Bullard's tens held and he looks to have a solid grip on the chip lead.

Steven McKinney Fades All the Outs

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We found this hand with a board of {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{J-Spades} and Steven McKinney moved all in for around 42,000. His opponent, holding a similar stack, called and tabled {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for flush and straight draws. McKinnery turned over {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a naked pair of queens. The river came {6-Diamonds}, McKinney's hand held and he doubled up.

Brady Bullard Building Back

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We found Brady Bullard making a call for a huge percentage of his chips. His opponent held {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Bullard was ahead holding {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board ran {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Bullard's hand was best and the other player was eliminated.

Greco Forces the Fold

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Mina Greco
Mina Greco

We caught up with the hand on the turn with a board of {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} between Mina Greco and Andrew Datson. Greco bet 12,000, Datson thumbed his chips before he called and the river came {Q-Diamonds}.

Greco moved all in, Datson kicked his cards back to the dealer and Greco chipped up.
