Jerry Whitley Busts Ray Henson

Jerry Whitley is a barber from the Houston, TX area. His neighbor asked him what he does for a living.

"I cut hair for a living sir," Whitley replied.

"I need a haircut right now," Lane LeBlanc said.

"I know sir, I was looking at you yesterday," Whitley replied.

Run Good Ambassador Ray Henson sat down at the table during this and Whitley raised under the gun to 3,100. Henson shoved all in.

"Already," said LeBlanc, who hails from New Iberia, LA.

"Unlimited rebuys," Henson said as Whitley called and turned over {k-}{k-}.

Henson showed {j-}{j-}.

The board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Henson hit the rail. A few hands later he took the same seat again with a fresh 20,000 stack.

RGPS Bossier City Horseshoe Main Event Profile: John Voris

John Voris
John Voris

John Voris comes to the Bossier City Horseshoe every week from El Dorado, AR which is about 90 miles away.

He's a retired purchasing manager for an oil company who's been married for 50 s to his wife Nancy. He's 71.

He split the bubble in the deepstack tournament earlier in the week, after turning a full house and losing on the river. He's currently enjoying a pretty chatty table with the likes of Bill Sadka.

Sadka raised from the small blind into Voris's big blind.

"I knew it," Voris said, "I thought it'd be at least four hundred."

Voris had the chips in hand ready to call. Sadka took down the four-way pot after a c-bet.
