The GPI's Mid-Major Tournament Series of the Year, Run Good Poker Series kicks off it's newest main event tonight at 7 p.m.

The main event is a $575 buyin with a $100,000 guarantee. Every player who makes the final table of the main event will earn a seat in the "Showbound" satellite, giving them a shot to play for one of two Poker After Dark seats.

The main event players will start with 20,000 chips and have 12 30-minute levels to find a bag for Day 2. This is the first of three starting flights. There are unlimited rebuys in each flight until the start of level nine.

Nick Burris, one of the many members of the Monday Night Poker crew in Kansas City, is in the field today with an RGPS main event title already under his belt this season. Burris won the Council Bluffs main event earlier this season for $44,767.

Burris along with several other players in the field play in the Monday Night Poker game. World Series of Poker bracelet winners, Blair and Grant Hinkle and James Mackey are also part of the group.

Craig Welko Keeps Betting

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and Welko led for 900. Van Keirsbilck called.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Welko bet again, this time making it 1,800. Van Keirsbilck folded.

Welko has three first-place finishes so far in 2019 and is looking to add a fourth with the RGPS main event.

Van Keirsbilck made the trip from Oklahoma and is a former University of Oklahoma Football player.
