Settis Outs Fouts, Berthelsen Building

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Mike Fouts, who won the RGPS Council Bluffs Main Event in 2018 for $36,780, shoved all in on the button and Bhaskar Setti called from the small blind after taking a few moments to think about it.

Setti, who is originally from India and now lives in Omaha, showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and was ahead of the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Fouts.

Setti hit an ace on the flop and held to eliminate Fouts.

The next hand, Kevin Berthelsen opened to 1,000 and Setti called from the big blind.

The flop was {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Berthelsen checked. Setti bet 1,500 and Berthelsen called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Berthelsen check-called again, this time to the tune of 3,000.

The river was the {4-Spades} and Berthelsen put 10,000 of his 120,000 stack into the pot. Setti quickly folded.

Berthelsen already has more than six times the starting stack as we approach the end of level five.

Barb Stahlecker
Barb Stahlecker

Barb Stahlecker made the trip from Norfolk, NE to Council Bluffs, which she says is her favorite place to play. She's making her way through the Day 1a field, sitting just under starting stack.

Stahlecker has played Run Good Poker Series events for the past three years, twice a year. She's a fan, but thinks the tour should add some Seniors Events.

Barb has five grandkids and just celebrated her 18th wedding anniversary. She says her husband doesn't play poker, which is "good. We only need one of us."

Stahlecker is looking to add something to her $6,324 in career tournament winnings.

Papa Karn Loses Huge Pot to Former RGPS Main Event Champ Drew Woodke

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Four players saw the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

The action checked to Papa Karn, father of Run Good Founder and CEO Tana Karn. He bet 1,800 and two players called.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and paired the board. Karn bet again, this time making it 3,100 and his two opponents continued.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Karn checked behind the player in the small blind. Drew Woodke asked for a look at Karn's remaining stack and then tossed out a bet of 5,000. The small blind folded and Karn called.

Woodke showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was just better than Karn's {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Woodke won the huge pot and Karn was eliminated on the next hand.
