A Double Double for Smith

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kipp Smith was sitting with 6,300 and called from the cutoff after a 19,000 shove from middle position.

Smith showed {7-}{6-} and was in a race against {4-}{4-}. Smith flopped two pair and held as the board ran out {a-}{7-}{6-}{8-}{2-}.

The next hand, Smith shoved from the button with {k-Spades}{4-Spades} and the big blind called with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Smith doubled up again. He had discussed rebuying before the end of registration but may not have to thanks to a couple timely double ups.

Jeff Tebben moved all in on the button for 6,500 and Papa Karn called from the small blind.

Run Good Ambassador Julie Cornelius was in the big blind and reraised all in, having both Tebben and Karn covered.

Karn debated for awhile, holding his remaining 8,000 in his hand before eventually tossing it into the pot.

Cornelius was in the lead with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} against the {k-Spades}{7-Spades} of Tebben and the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Karn.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Spades} and Cornelius won the hand, eliminating both Tebben and Karn.
