Sandra Main Looking for Second RGPS Signature Ring

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Sandra Main
Sandra Main

It’s only been a few weeks since Sandra Main, who hails from Pittsburg, Kansas, notched her first-ever tournament cash on HendonMob. It was a good one though as she topped a 177-entry field to win the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Downstream $135 Pro Bounty for $5,018.

She then used that momentum to travel down to the recently-completed World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Choctaw Durant where she placed 35th in a 255-entry field in Event #6: $400 No-Limit hold’em, good for $556.

Main has made the journey to Hard Rock Tulsa and is in action here on Day 1a of the latest RGPS Main Event. Only time will tell if she can earn her third-ever career cash, and maybe if the cards go in her favor, her second Signature Ring in less than a month!

RunGood Poker Series RGPS Game Seven Rings

The RunGood Poker Series "Game 7" season continues this weekend with the $675 buy-in, $100K GTD Main Event from Hard Rock Tulsa. The tournament begins at 7 p.m. tonight with the Day 1a flight, while 1b and 1c will take place at Noon and 7 p.m. local time respectively on Saturday. The surviving players from each flight will then return at noon on Sunday to play down to a winner.

Players start with 20,000 starting chips and will play 12 30-minute levels in their opening flight before bagging for Day 2. Levels will increase to 45 minutes on Day 2 before going up to one hour once the final table is reached.

This season at the RGPS is "Championship Ring" season and each winner of an RGPS event will win a Signature Championship Ring. The stop has already minted new ring winners in Brent Harrington, Chad Holloway, Katerina Lukina, Justin Gardenhire, and Daniel Lowery. We'll be bringing you mini-recaps of those tournaments here in the blog throughout the night.

The last time the RGPS visited the venue was back in May, which is when Blair Hinkle topped a 313-entry field to win the tournament for $35,985 and his first RGPS Main Event title. He's since added two more to his poker resume. Hinkle is expected to be in attendance to attempt a title defense. Others expected to fire are Survivor's "Boston" Rob Mariano, Lexy Gavin, Bob Mather, Matt Waxman, and many more.

You can catch all the updates and photos for the entire event here on PokerNews.com. The action begins tonight, so stay tuned.
