JW Carter bagged the chip lead in the opening flight of the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Horseshoe Tunica $575 Main Event. The flight drew 168 entries and Carter bagged a hefty 293,500 to lead the remaining 30 players who will return for Day 2 Sunday at noon.

RunGood Ambassadors Dan Lowery and Emily Larson, who both won tournaments earlier this week, fired in the opening flight but failed to bag and will surely be at it again when Day 1b starts at noon Saturday.

Chris Conrad (96,500) was one RunGood ambassador that managed to find a bag, while local player Connie Rice finished with a top-five stack bagging 204,00.

Additionally, World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Kyle Cartwright bagged (151,500). This is his home casino and he is trying to close out an RGPS Tunica event. He finished second and sixth in the last two RGPS Tunica Main Events.

Jackie Rutherford (277,500), Adam Byars (245,500), Will Joyner (194,000) and Tyler Burke (105,000) all found bags as well.

The two remaining starting flights will be back-to-back on Saturday at noon and 7 p.m. respectively. All the updates and photos from the "Game 7" season-opening RGPS Main Event will be right here on PokerNews.com, so be sure to check back then.
