Five More Hands

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

The players are playing five more hands before they bag in the final flight of the RGPS Tunica main event.

"King" Phuong

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Phuong Ngyuen

Three players got all-in preflop.

Phoung Nguyen was on the button with 15,600 and pocket kings, {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

He was against an opponent who had him covered. That opponent had {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The third player was very short — sitting with just 1,200. He had {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Nguyen doubled up. The short stack headed to the rail.

Jeremy Tinsley said that was the second time Nguyen made kings full.

"King Phuong," Tinsley said.

"That's his nickname."

Kerry Dawson Gets It All

The player under the gun limped and two other players followed suit before the big blind checked his option.

The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Ahn Nguyen led for 6,000. Kerry Dawson called on the button.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Nguyen bet 15,000. Dawson moved all in. Nguyen would be calling for his tournament life.

He stood up and seemed to be talking himself through the hand again. He stood for more than a minute.

Finally, he tossed in a single chip and turned over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Dawson showed {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Nguyen was eliminated. Dawson was now back over 200,000 after loosing two hands in a row in the previous level.

Jesse Grier Doubles Through Kerry Dawson

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Jesse Grier opened to 3,600 from middle position and Kerry Dawson made it 6,000. The player in the big blind shoved for 10,200 and Grier was next to act.

He raised to 27,500 and Dawson called.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Grier moved all in for 38,000 more. Dawson didn't take long to call, but tabled {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and needed help to catch the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Grier.

The all-player tabled his hand, {j-}{8-} and the turn was the {9-Spades} giving him some hope.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Grier held to eliminate his opponent and double through Dawson, who lost two pots in a row.
