Welcome to Graton Resort and Casino for Day 1c of the $600 Main Event at the Bay Area stop of the RunGood Poker Series(RGPS). Cards go in the air at 11 a.m. local time for the first of two remaining flights at the flagship event of the series.
Tony Wasaya is the overall chip leader after the first two flights on Friday. He came out on top of a Day 1b flight that attracted 200 entries and sent 25 players to Sunday’s Day 2 finale. Igor Sorokin came out on top of a Day 1a flight the drew 244 entries and sent 31 players to Day 2.

RGPS is kicking off a string of tour stops with its first event at Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park, California. The tour will continue on to Cleveland from September 22-October 2 before stops in Tunica, Tulsa, and Iowa. The remainder of the year for RunGood includes a CardPlayer cruise and a stop in San Diego before the $1,000,000 Season Finale at Thunder Valley in Lincoln, California.
Players will start with 30,000 in chips and registration is open until the start of Level 9. Levels are 30 minutes long and the opening flights will play until 12.5% of the field remains. The second flight of the evening will kick off at 6 p.m.
Players can play in all Day 1 flights, and if a player qualifies from multiple flights their highest stack will remain in play while they receive the lowest Day 2 prize for other bags. Survivors from the four opening flights will return on Sunday at 11 a.m. for the Day 2 finale.

Cards are now in the air for Day 1c of the $600 Main Event at Graton Resort and Casino. There are currently 173 players seated for the flight. Action will continue today until 12.5% of the field remain.
Action was heads up with a full board of and Jeff Spruitenburg was in the tank after his opponent fired 1,600 at the river. He tossed out the chips to call and his opponent turned over for ace-high, but Spruitenburg had for sixes and fives to take the pot.
"Nice try," Spruitenburg said with a smile as he dragged the pot.
Elsewhere in the room, Casey Carrow, Scott Young, and Jeff Walsh have taken their seat for the flight. There are now 204 entrants in Day 1c.

Once the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) wraps up its Bay Area stop at Graton Casino, it will to Jack Cleveland Casino in Ohio for the very first RGPS Cleveland, which will feature the $800 buy-in RGPS Cleveland Main Event with a $250,000 guarantee.
The Main Event will consist of three starting flights, the first of which will get underway on Sept. 29. After Day 1b on Sept. 30 and Day 1c on Oct. 1, Day 2 will take place on Oct. 2. and play down to a winner, who will get the bulk of the guaranteed prize pool and take home the RGPS trophy.
The RGPS Cleveland stop, set to run Sept. 22-Oct. 2, will also feature over $500,000 in guarantees and a handful of side events that will see the winner's taking home Championship Rings, which were recently reintroduced by RGPS.

Action was heads up with 6,000 in the middle and when L.U. checked and a player in late position bet 4,000. L.U. raised to 10,500 and the player in late position shoved for a total of 28,300.
L.U. was worried about pocket queens, but he tossed in a chip to call while he turned over for the turned full house. His opponent showed for the flopped flush.
The river didn't matter and L.U. dragged the pot while his opponent picked up the pieces and made his way to the door.

Kevin Goldman outlasted a field of 275 entries to capture the first ring of the RGPS Bay Area stop. The top 35 places paid out from a total prize pool of $55,000, and Goldman took home $12,100 for the victory.

Action was heads up with a growing pot in the middle and on the board when Tony Costa checked from the small blind. A player two seats over bet 8,000 and Costa called to see on the river.
Both players checked the river and Costa turned over to take the pot while his opponent tossed the losing hand in the muck.
