Cards are in the air for the first flight of the inaugural RGPS Cleveland Main Event.
The tournament clock shows 104 entrants to begin the day with their starting stacks of 20,000 chips.

Welcome to Day 1a of the Inaugural RGPS Cleveland Main Event from the Jack Cleveland Casino. Today’s flight is the first of three opening days before a champion is crowned on Day 2 Sunday.
This flight will be the lone late afternoon start, with cards in the air at 4:15 p.m. local time, while flights 1b and 1c Friday and Saturday will begin at 12:15 p.m.
The Main Event comes with a $250,000 guarantee and given the success of the side events throughout the week leading up to the Main Event, that number will likely be surpassed quite easily.
Players will start their day with 30,000 chips at opening blinds of 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Registration will remain open until the start of Level 10 and re-entries are unlimited.
Levels are 40 minutes long and each opening flight will play until 15% of the field remains, or at the end of Level 15, whichever comes first. The players will receive a 15-minute break at the completion of every third level with the break after Level 9 on Days 1b and 1c being a 60-minute dinner break.
Players will have the opportunity to play multiple opening flights in hopes of accumulating a bigger stack, but if a player survives multiple opening days, only their largest stack will be advanced to Day 2, which begins at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.
