Hot Start For Richardson

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Paul Richardson
Paul Richardson

Paul Richardson's stack was already growing, but added a significant amount more following a hand with Aaron Messmer.

Preflop action started with a raise from the cutoff to 700 and a call from Messmer on the button. The small blind also called, but then Richardson squeezed to 4,000 from the big blind.

After the cutoff folded, Messmer called and the small blind folded, leaving the pot heads-up.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Richardson continued for 2,600, which Messmer called.

On the {8-Spades} turn, Richardson sized up to 11,500 and again got a call from Messmer.

After a board-pairing {8-Hearts} fell on the river, Richardson moved all in for Messmer's last 20,500 which sent him deep into the tank.

After a couple of minutes of deliberation, Messmer folded to send the pot across the table to Richardson, who is already approaching the six-figure mark.

Moreno Quickly Rebuilding

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With approximately 17,000 in the pot already on a flop of {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, after the small blind checked, the hijack bet 6,000, then was met with an all-in raise from Johnnie Moreno on the button for a bit over 30,000.

The small blind folded, and after a brief bit of thought, the hijack folded as well, sending a healthy pot to Moreno to get him back over starting stack.

Stewart Has it on Nice Board

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Scott Stewart
Scott Stewart

Picking action up on a flop of {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} with 3,300 in the middle, the small blind checked to Scott Stewart in the big blind who bet 2,000.

Vijay Ramani called on the button and the small blind called as well.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs}, double pairing the board. Action was again checked to Stewart, who bet another 2,000.

Ramani called but the small blind folded.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds} putting a full house of nines full of sixes on the board. This time Stewart sized up to 16,500 and after some brief thought, Ramani called.

Stewart showed {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} with the last remaining nine in the deck for quads and the winner.

Ramani showed the {6-Hearts}, then tossed his cards into the muck as Stewart took down a nice pot.

Big Raise and Flop Bet Leads to Big Pot

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Florencio Arguelles opened to 2,200 in early position and was called by the hijack and Michael Lin on the button.

On the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop, Arguelles bet 8,000 into the 7,600 chip pot.

The hijack folded, but Lin called for his last 7,900 to put himself at risk.

Michael Lin: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Florencio Arguelles: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The players both had the same hand, to chop the pot after each added another queen on the {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} runout.
