Welcome to Day 1a of the $1,100 Main Event at the next stop of the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) hosted here at the Horseshoe Baltimore! Cards go in the air at 5 p.m. local time for the first of three starting flights.

This marks the first time the popular mid-stakes poker series has made a stop in Baltimore, or in the Northeast for that matter, and it is already doing a fantastic job of turning folks out as events have been running all week.

Baltimore is the second stop of the newest season of the RGPS Road Trip Tour, continuing after a record-breaking kickoff at the Horseshoe in Tunica, Mississippi. After this, the tour will continue on to Hollywood Casino in St. Louis, Missouri from Sept. 26 to Oct. 1, followed by EIGHT more stops around the country. The season will then wrap up in California at the Thunder Valley Casino for the Dream Factory grand finale Nov. 28-Dec. 1.

Check-Raise from Katz

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Caitlyn Arnwine opened to 600 from the button and was called by Ari Katz in the big blind to go heads-up to a flop of A53.

Katz checked and Arnwine continued for 2,000 which Katz called to see the turn 7 and he checked once more.

This time Arnwine bet out 4,000 and Katz then check-raised to 8,900, which prompted a quick fold from Arnwine to win him the pot.

Ho Drawing Dead to Stroh

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Brian Stroh
Brian Stroh

On a heads-up turn of A798, Brian Stroh made it 10,000 to go but then Huan Ho quickly moved all with a fresh stack to cover.

Ho thought out loud for a few seconds before he made the call and tabled A9 for two pair, aces and nines.

"Oh wow, that was a mistake, I'm drawing dead," Ho said as he flipped over A4 for just a pair of aces.

The river came the meaningless 7 to award Stroh the big pot for a double-up. Ho was then left with only a few blinds and moved all in the very next hand with deuce-three offsuit but could not get there against Ari Katz'z pocket sixes and was sent to the registration desk.
