The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship
Day 1bc Completed
After 9 hours in Day 1b and a little over 8 hours in Day 1c, the second and third of five starting flights of the $600 Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship came to a close today at half-past midnight. A total of 514 players entered the tournament today, but only 67 were able to navigate the field to find a bag and continue on to Day 2.
Leading both of today’s flights (as well as Day 1a) is Robert Fett who bagged a whopping 1,017,000 to return with on Sunday. Behind him is Miralem Mujkic from Day 1c with 674,000 and in third is Day 1b chip leader Adam Curchack with 557,000. Rounding out the top five is William Pinheiro (547,000) and Wilson Chan (483,000), respectively.

On a heads-up turn of 6♣K♣K♦4♥, Anthony An in late position checked over to Thu Tran on the button who made it 35,000 to go.
An made the call and the two went to the river 7♣, and An checked once again.
Tran then set out a bet of 45,000 and An made the call after thinking for a few seconds.
He was then shown 7♠7♦ by Tran for a full house on the river, and he shook his head and threw his hand int the muck.

With 39 players left in the field, they are now on the stone money bubble and hand-for-hand is in effect.
As players near the bubble, the action has slowed down quite a bit, but there are still a considerable amount of chips being slung around so they haven't quite nitted it up yet.
There are currently 48 players remaining in Flight Day 1c, and with 38 of them advancing, they are only 10 spots away from being in the money!

With 65,000 already in the middle, Ratu Caucau checked the flop of 3♠10♠7♠ over to Sasha Sabbaghian who bet 20,000. Caucau quickly made the call and the duo went to the turn J♠, which both players checked.
On the 10♣ river, Sabbaghian set out a bet of 50,000 and after some pause, Caucau made the call. Sabbaghian then tabled A♣K♠ for a king-high flush and Caucau promptly mucked to award him the pot.

On a completed board of A♦3♠8♣Q♦A♣, Michael Sy led out for 15,000 and the action was then on his heads-up opponent, Stephen Song, who opted to move all in for 60,000.
The pressure was then back on Sy, who went into the tank for a bit before he made the call to put Song at risk.
Song then flipped over A♥J♠ for trip aces while Sy shook his head as he tabled K♥Q♣ for aces and queens. Song was then pushed the healthy pot to bring him back over average stack with 220,000 while Sy was left with 118,000.
