The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship
Day 1bc Started
GOOOOD Morning Thunder Valley! It's time for another action-packed day of poker here at the Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship with flights Day 1b and 1c firing off at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time.
As with yesterday, with this $600 buy-in, players will receive 30,000 in chips and will play 30-minute levels, starting at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Play for Day 1 flights will continue until the field is cut down to 12.5% and those remaining players will then be "In the Money" and will bag up for their return on Day 2.
Day 1a saw 244 players enter the arena and only 31 of them found a bag for Day 2, with the chip stack to beat being held by Tony Berrera with an impressive 611,000. Play in yesterday’s flight lasted roughly nine hours so players can expect some of the same outcomes due to the fast structure.
Players can re-enter this event only once per flight, and with one flight already in the books, the maximum a player can enter this event will be a total of eight times. Late Registration will be open until the start of Level 9, so approximately 2:45 p.m. for 1b and 8:45 p.m. for 1c.

On the latest The Chad & Jesse Poker Show[/I][/B] straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP)., Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen welcome two guests to the show starting with the legendary Phil Hellmuth! The “Poker Brat” captured his record-extending 17th WSOP gold bracelet earlier in the series, and he sits down with the boys to talk all about it.
The other guest is this year’s Poker Hall of Fame inductee Brian Rast, who also won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for a record-tying third time. Rast shares his thoughts on being inducted, who he’d like to see join him, and much more.
Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”
On a heads-up flop of J♠9♥5♠, Terrance Reid checked to Michael Harris who bet 400 into the pot. Reid then immediately check-raised him to 1,300 and received a quick fold for his hard work.

On a flop of A♦4♥9♦, the first player checked to Baljinder Bhupal who bet 1,400 and was called only by Andrew Berlfein.
The two then went to the turn 5♠ and Bhupal tossed out another bet of 2,400.
"I'll show ya," he said as Berlfein took a few seconds to make a decision, but he ultimately made the call to see the J♦ fall on the river.
"I tried to tell you, you don't want none of this," Bhupal continued as he fired off another bet of 6,500.
"Man, I picked up a lot of outs on the turn, too," Berlfein sighed as he showed the A♠ as he mucked his hand.
Bhupal then showed him A♥J♣ for a rivered two-pair as he was pushed the pot.
