Donnie Phan raised to 1,300 from late position and was called by one player in the cutoff, Alex Wheeler on the button, and Angela Jordison in the big blind.
The flop rolled out 10♣8♠6♠ and Jordison checked over to Phan who continued for 2,600. The cutoff folded while Wheeler called on the button.
Jordison raised to 10,300 which sent Phan into the tank. He eventually folded after taking a look at Jordison's remaining chips while Wheeler did the same, giving Jordison the pot.
Action was picked up between four players with Jared Ward on the button.
With action checking around to him on a board reading K♠2♠3♥J♥, Ward bet 6,500 which only one player called from middle position.
On the J♠ river, the middle position player checked to Ward who moved all in for 32,500 which send his opponent into the tank. After some thought, his opponent folded and Ward took down the pot, fresh off of his fourth place finish in RGPS Joplin.
On his right used to be RGPS Joplin champion Mark Martin, but he had since departed the field and walked over to the cage for re-entry.
The defending champion Derrick Plumage was seen coming in the latest batch of entries.
"I put it on hard mode," he said when referring to his entry through today's satellite tournament.
"I've got the love and support of my friends and family, I have a whole room of people telling me I can't do it, and I have a beer in my hand."
