The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint kicked off its first event this year at Downstream Casino with the $225 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em ring event on Tuesday, April 11th. The event saw a total of 179 entrants put their hat into the ring for the chance to win a ring, creating a prizepool of $32,220.

A total of 22 places were paid out, with the top prize of $8,472 being awarded to Kathy Schimmel. Schimmel took home her biggest career cash as well as her first RGPS ring.
