With one starting day down and two more to go, the RGPS Kansas City $1,100 Main Event is primed for an even larger field than yesterday. Shane Fuller and his chip lead of 568,000 will be the bag to beat as players battle it out throughout the day.

As Grant Hinkle and Blair Hinkle bagged in Flight 1A, the remaining Rungood Ambassador team of Preston McEwen, Caitlin Comeskey, and Kris Burchfield will all be playing in today's flights.

The second of three starting flights is set to begin today at 11 a.m. local time with the third and final flight to begin at 5 p.m. As with the first flight, play will resume until 12.5% of the field remains, at which point the players will bag up to return tomorrow for Day 2.

Players will start with 30,000 in chips and levels will be 30 minutes long starting at blinds of 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante.

There are unlimited reentries for this event and registration will be open until the start of Level 9 where the length will then switch to 40 minutes per level. There will also be a short 10-15 minute break approximately every 2 hours (every four levels until Level 9; every three afterward).

The PokerNews reporting team will continue to provide all of the updates in this RGPS Main Event until a winner is crowned tomorrow so stay tuned!

Barrientos Has It

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a three-way flop of 10710, there were already over 20,000 chips in the middle when Mark Barrientos led out for 12,000 from the small blind.

The action was then on Zachary Carroll who thought about it for a few seconds before he made the fold and passed the baton over to the last defender.

He also went into the tank for a bit, as he only had 20,000 chips remaining in his stack. After around 30 seconds, he decided to let it go as well and the pot was pushed to Barrientos.

"Did you have it, Mark?" Carroll asked.

"I did, if you didn't have a ten you had a lot of catching up to do," Barrientos replied.

Ludlow Not Loving it

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a heads-up turn of 3Q8J, there was around 7,500 in the middle when Connor Hayward led out for 7,000. The action was then on Ben Ludlow who went deep into the tank to consider his options.

After a solid minute of deliberation, he took one last look and flashed KQ before tossing it into the muck.

'Wow, tight fold for you," Hayward sounded impressed, "I really thought you were gonna pile it in."

The very next hand, Ludlow opened for 1,200 preflop and then continued for another 1,200 on the A910 flop.

He then fired for 3,500 on the 5 turn but was then check-raised to 8,500 by his opponent and forced to fold.
