Joseph Gargiulo: {a-}{k-}
Tavish Margers: {j-}{j-}

The board ran out as no help to Gargiulo and Margers raked in a massive pot to ascend high among the chip counts.

Truesdale Fills Up On The River

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A new player at the table raised to 2,100 off of a fresh stack from early position which saw Shane Truesdale call from late position, and another player calling from the cutoff while all other players folded. The floor was called over to resolve a confusion about bet sizings and change, which took up some time and then three players saw the flop.

The {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} saw the initial raiser check to Truesdale who bet 3,500 which saw only the cutoff call.

The turn of {3-Clubs} saw Truesdale size up to 6,500 which saw the cutoff drop in a stack of 20,000 before moving in all of her chips. The floor ruled the raise as a 20,000 bet which Truesdale called.

Action checked through on the {7-Spades} river where Truesdale turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for sevens full of eights and his opponent mucked their hand, giving the pot to Truesdale.

Sa Turns A Flush

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop between a player in first position, Stevy Sa in middle position, and two players in the cutoff and the hijack.

With 11,400 in the center, the under the gun player continued for 5,000 on a {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop which only Sa called.

The turn of {j-Diamonds} saw the same player bet 7,000 which elicited a raised to 14,000 from Sa. The under the gun player moved all in for 18,500 total and Sa called.

Under the gun: {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Stevy Sa: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The river {q-Hearts} changed nothing, leaving Sa's king-high flush as the best hand to take down the pot.

RGPS Headed to Bay Area for Graton Casino Stop Feb. 28-March 8

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After wrapping up at Jamul Casino in San Diego, the award-nominated RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) will stick around in California and will head up to Graton Casino in the Bay Area for the latest stop in its “Checkpoint” season taking place Feb. 28-March 8.

It's an exciting time for the RGPS team as they once again have been nominated for "Best Mid-Major" at the annual Global Poker Awards and RunGood founder Tana Karn is also on the shortlist for “Industry Person of the Year.” It's also a busy time for the team as RGPS Horseshoe Tunica will be taking place alongside the Bay Area stop Feb. 28-March 5.

The RGPS Bay Area stop will feature several Ring Events and will culminate with the $800 buy-in Main Event with a guaranteed $250,000 prize pool up for grabs March 3-5, which PokerNews will be on-site to report on.

Ahead of the $250,000 guaranteed Main Event will be a series of Ring Events, kicking off on Feb. 28 with a $250 Seniors 50+ NLH Ring Event, a $250 6-Max NLH Ring Event and a $200 Guest Bounty NLH Ring Event.

The Guest Bounty event is one of several bounty tournaments at the Bay Area stop, which will also feature a $360 Black Chip Bounty Ring Event and a $200 Double Green Chip Bounty Ring Event.

There will also be plenty of Omaha and mixed game action throughout the stop, including a Pot Limit Omaha Ring Event, a Limit 08 Ring Event, an Omaha 8/Stud 8 Ring Event and a Mixed Omaha (Big O, PLO, PLO8) Ring Event, all of which cost $300 to enter.

Other highlights of the RGPS stop include a $125 NLH Survivor Event where one in ten players will win $1,000 cash and a two-day $250 Monster Stack Ring Event with a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The RGPS Bay Area Main Event will feature four starting flights as it looks to crack the $250,000 guarantee. The event will play down to a winner on March 5 alongside several other Ring Events as the series closes out.
