Swift Triples; Goings Scoops McEwen

Preston McEwen raised to 6,000 in late position and Jon Swift moved all in from the cutoff for 13,000. On the button Nick Goings moved all in for 110,000 and McEwen went into the tank. After some thought he called to put both players at risk.

The board ran out 8♠9♥2♥9♠3♣ and the ace-eight found a pair of eights on the flop and held against both of his opponents' hands. Goings scooped a massive pot from McEwen and a few hands later e was eliminated from the tournament.

David Prociak raised to 4,500 in early position which saw two players call. In the small blind, Joe Glisson moved all in for 42,000 which saw only Prociak move over the top while the other players folded.

The flop came out A♠8♥8♠ and Lafata checked to the under the gun player who moved all in for 50,500 which only Lafata called.

The board ran out 6♦Q♥ as no help was brought to the top pair as Lafata added to his chip stack.

Dennis Laurence raised to 3,000 in the hijack. In Roger Bennett three bet jammed for 19,000 and in the big blind, Forrest Kollar moved all in for 23,500. Laurence asked for a count, then called to put both players at risk.

The flop of K♠10♠6♥ gave Laurence a gutshot which came home on the Q♠ turn, leaving Kollar drawing dead to scoop. The river 6♦ changed nothing and the WSOPC ring winner took out both players.
